a. If you found your name is listed on ORDER RECEIVED PAGE which means that your order is in processing.
b. If you found your name is listed on INCOMPLETE ORDER PAGE which mean that your order info is insufficient.
c. If your name is not listed neither on ORDER RECEIVED PAGE or INCOMPLETE ORDER PAGE, then call our sale department to place a phone order.

Many varieties of orchids are grown year-round throughout the Hawaiian Islands. It is on Oahu's Windward Coast and on the slopes of Mauna Loa volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii where vast fields of commercial orchids are grown. They produce the millions of blossoms used each year in the popular orchid leis that are shipped world wide. Although not scented the orchid lei is favored for shipping because of its beauty and durability. The single orchid lei uses about 50 blossoms, the double lei about 100, and the triple 150 individual blossoms.
Stringing Leis
The orchids are sorted by size, color, and quality prior to stringing. A special lei needle and twine are used to fashion the blossoms into a strand about 40 inches in length. The strand is then tied with ribbon to form the typical lei. The metal lei needle is 12 to 18 inches long with a sharp point at one end and a small hook on the other end to hold the twine. To make an orchid lei, hold a blossom flat in one hand and insert the needle carefully through the bottom of the flower, then through the center, and finally through the other end. Push the blossom down onto the lei needle and repeat the process until you have five or six blossoms on the needle. Wrap your free hand around the flowers and pull the needle and then the lei twine gently through the flowers. Repeat this process until the lei is the length you want. If you'd like to try stringing leis at home, just order the lei needles and twine from us, pick some nice blossoms from your yard and make your own beautiful leis.
Care of Orchid Leis
An orchid lei should last four to six days if it is stored in a refrigerator at about 45 degrees when not being worn. It should be moistened, wrapped loosely in a paper towel, and put into a plastic bag or container before being placed in the refrigerator. The lei should also be moistened with plain water before wearing. Almost any spray bottle will work well for moistening your leis.
Occasionally, due to extended travel time, an orchid lei may be wilted when received. Just soak it in tepid water for 15 to 20 minutes and it should recover nicely. You may also contact us at (808) 537-2373 if you do need further help.
